Boxwood

Boxwood shrubs (Buxus) are dense, evergreen shrubs often planted in elegant and formal landscapes. Many varieties and cultivars of boxwood plants exist. Boxwoods are grown for foliage and used as a hedge plant, in a border, or even as a container plant.

These shrubs are also low maintenance and can fill in the landscape while adding form and structure to the garden year-round. Boxwood is not troubled by many pests or diseases and only requires regular pruning. These timeless evergreen shrubs are long-lived and come in many varieties from the Winter Gem upright or pyramid-shaped boxwood to the Dwarf English that grows in a more rounded shape, boxwoods are a lovely addition to the garden.
